Thank you Central Texas!
The 7th Annual Recovery in the Park, Austin’s official Big Texas Rally for Recovery event, was a success! The community joining forces for the biggest recovery event in Central Texas was joyous to see and celebrate.

A BIG shoutout to our community partners, sponsors, volunteers, and everyone who participated. It could not have happened without you!

We have heard your feedback loud and clear, and we agree, it was HOT! We plan to push the event back next year to allow for some cooler weather.

For organizations in the Central Texas area, we hope you add Recovery in the Park sponsorship to your 2024 budget to keep this event FREE! We loved having you and hope to continue to grow in the years to come.
WE STILL HAVE A FEW EVENT T-SHIRTS LEFT that are available for purchase by following the registration link on this page. You may arrange pickup after purchase, by emailing [email protected]

Welcome Back!
On September 9, 2023, the Central Texas recovery community will be hosting the Seventh Annual Recovery in the Park event at Pease Park in Austin from 12pm to 5pm.

Last year, after a three year break, we wanted to bring the event back with a bang, and so we didn’t hold anything back in bringing you Austin’s biggest and best recovery event of the year. Another incredible move we made last year was partnering up with Big Texas Rally for Recovery to be the official event for Austin. This partnership and your participation brought roughly 1200 people celebrating recovery out to Mueller Lake Park.

What is Recovery in the Park?
In 2015, a handful of recovery community organizations led and governed by representatives of the local recovery community saw a need that was missing in the Austin community and decided to do something about it. From there, Recovery in the Park was born. Each September during Recovery Month, this event brings out local musicians to share the stage with inspiring speakers from the community. Guests enjoy music while connecting with local recovery organizations at booths, gathering resources, engaging in fair-style activities and games, and eating FREE food we provide each year. And much more!

This FREE community event includes, but is not limited to:
Musicians playing from 12-5 PM
Guest Speakers
FREE Food & Drinks
Fair / Carnival Style Games
Plenty of Activities for the Kiddos
Access to Recovery Resources
and so much more...

plus some potential pre-event activities in the morning that may include:
One Mile Race
Yoga with Meditation
Soundbath with Singing Crystal Bowls
Giant Drum Circle
and more...

Plus, each supporting organization with a booth will provide its own activity to make for endless opportunities to have fun with your friends and family!

For a second year, Recovery in the Park joins Big Texas Rally for Recovery to make it even bigger and better and bring out the masses to get a taste of what recovery can look like. All are welcome to attend, so bring out everyone you know.
